In 2017, Epicleff Media released its first feature film, Score: A Film Music Documentary, which received a 94% certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and was named a New York Times Critics Pick, earning awards at major film festivals. It was released theatrically by Gravitas Ventures and became the #1 documentary on iTunes for five weeks, also inspiring the hit weekly series Score: The Podcast.
In April 2019, Epicleff Media released a genre-pushing scripted biographical podcast (“biopod”) series titled Blockbuster, which won Adweek Award for Creative Podcast of The Year, and earned rave reviews from Forbes, The Verge, Gizmodo, Medium and many more. It currently holds a listener rating of 5/5 stars on Apple Podcasts, where it became a Top 10 series upon its release.
In October 2019, Epicleff Media founder Matt Schrader announced Score: Project North Korea, a coordinated program with The Human Rights Foundation that smuggled Score into the North Korean black market on flash drives in the HRF’s first cultural diplomacy operation. Kenny Holmes is an award-winning producer, cinematographer, editor and podcaster. Robert Kraft, Producer
Robert Kraft is an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy-nominated composer, producer, former President of Music at 20th Century Fox, which produced Avatar, Titanic, Moulin Rouge and many more under his direction. He produced the 2017 international hit film Score: A Film Music Documentary, a New York Times Critics Pick, and is a host of its acclaimed ongoing spinoff series, Score: The Podcast. Kraft co-produced the Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning songs in The Little Mermaid, including the Academy Award-winning song “Under The Sea.” He is a member of the Music Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and founder of Kraftbox Entertainment. Jonathan Willbanks, Producer
Jonathan Willbanks is a producer, entrepreneur and technologist who has consulted and spearheaded distribution for more than a dozen independent films. A graduate of USC’s Business and Cinematic Arts joint program, his experience includes marketing and distribution for Disney Channel and The Moving Picture Institute, and technology-driven roles with GE, Apple and Verizon.
Nate Gold, Producer
Nate Gold is a director of photography and producer who has worked on commercials, music videos, and features internationally. He is a graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and produced and shot the international hit film SCORE: A FILM MUSIC DOCUMENTARY, a New York Times Critics Pick. He is founder of SoundBite Studios, a music studio facility in Los Angeles specializing in helping high-profile artists and creatives refine and realize their craft.
Trevor Thompson, Producer
Trevor Thompson is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and a graduate of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Thornton School of Music. The son of BMI Award-winning composer Tim Thompson, Trevor’s creative journalism and powerful human interest pieces have broadcast on stations across the country as well as CNN.
Crystal Chavarria, Associate Producer
Crystal Chavarria is a producer, production designer and art department coordinator whose work has appeared in productions for Disney, NBC, Fox, Showtime, The CW and Starz. She is a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in film production and production designed and costume designed award-winning student films.
